like it or not, each of us will have his own, separate end of his/her world. It is going to be the moment of one's death.
I like the idea of the falling comets which portend the violent end of a civilization. I can compare myself to the man standing there, showing no emotions, no fear, so stable.... he is sure that all these forecasts about the 'end of our civilization' are of no importance, of no use... that they are just fabricated speculations. We can not know the moment when our life ends. But I believe that if an end will ever come for this world, it will come as a surprise, unexpectedly for all the beings, including humans... like in the painting of Peter Bruegel ''Landscape with the Fall of Icarus''. The moment when Icarus' life was ending was while everybody were doing their daily routines... it was unexpected and remained unnoticed. The same with 'the end of the world'. It's not something that can be calculated or set . It may just come in a moment when nobody is going to expect it...
I just love the colours and vision, despite the fact that it presents the Apocalypse, the warm colours contrast with each other in such a warm way... the effect is rather something beautiful than frightening, and I love it!
